Yoni had every intention of becoming a nice, Jewish doctor, but during his freshman year at New York University he was introduced to photography and discovered his true calling (bursting the bubbles of prospective mother-in-laws everywhere).


Under the tutelage of some of the industry’s most prominent fashion photographers, Yoni began honing his craft in New York and fostering his own professional aesthetic; clean and graphic.


Personally, he’s more of a t-shirt and jeans kinda guy himself, but Yoni developed an eye for fashion photography while working in the photo department at Cosmopolitan magazine, and later photo rep giant Art Partner. Today, his client list includes Target, Hulu, GUESS, Kohl’s, Lucky Brand, Harper Collins, Paper Crown, Redbook, etc. Yoni has traveled the world while working with fair trade artisan marketplace The Little Market and recently had his work on the New York Times bestseller’s list with Lauren Conrad’s Celebrate.


In 2011, Yoni relocated to Los Angeles, and he began dabbling in motion pictures (because people just kept asking). In 2013, he lent his cinematographic talents to Frankie Shaw’s SMILF; the film won the Jury Prize at the 2014 Sundance Film Fest, and is currently on it's second season at Showtime. He has shot more music videos than he can count, and he just wrapped production on shooting Disengaged, a web-series produced by Super-Deluxe for TCM.


Given his diverse background (including a psychology degree with a minor in chemistry), Yoni is able to approach his craft with a uniquely scientific perspective. He excels at bridging both the technical and creative aspects of work, evaluating their importance and weight with respect to his client's goals. He also knows his way around a Bunsen burner. (I know, I know).
